Not only does Senate Intelligence Committee Vice Chairman Mark Warner (D-VA) want President Donald Trump’s son Don Jr. to testify, he wants the testimony to be public.

During a discussion about who needed to be interviewed, Warner checked off two big names.

“I mean, Michael Cohen, Mr. Trump’s lawyer, we want to bring him back. We want to bring Donald Trump Jr. in. He’s not testified yet,” Warner said.

MSNBC’s Kasie Hunt asked if Trump’s testimony should be public.

“Folks ought to hear his side of the story,” Warner responded.

This could be the precursor to a showdown with the president, who’s previously referred to investigation of his family members’ finances outside of their relationships to Russia as a “red line.”
